We love our Basement! The only issue that might have been improved on was the communication regarding the plumbing fixture allowance. We didn't understand the process well- once you spent the extra time to explain we were over the stress. Overall- that was minor- the whole project went relatively smoothly and we are very happy with the end result. Thanks for everything!

The work was completed in a timely manner. Steve was very dependable and showed up when he said he would. Ah, finally… Opening day of NFL football is here and I can truly enjoy my newly completed cozy basement by SCC!! I am sitting here watching the game looking at my wonderful fireplace, wall of cabinets/shelves, and bar area. What more could I want?

It took us a year to decide to do the addition. We interviewed several other companies and not one came close to the design you came up with! We thought you were higher priced until we compared the allowance options and realized you actually included everything. This made it easy for us and we enjoy each and every item we included. I don’t know how many times your re drew the island. I felt like a pain in the butt, but I knew you could do it. Now I understand what you meant when you said you would be able to tell when I loved it and would not go foreword until you were sure it was perfect. And it is! The kitchen is just what I always wanted. I love unloading the groceries in the pantry. Please keep thinking of ideas for my basement. It is next on the list… maybe next year.

I knew you were special when you explained why I would not like the light I had chosen for the dining area. I really like it in the Family room.
Now that the house is all updated, I feel content and love my home.
I can’t tell you enough times how comfortable I felt with the guy’s that were working here. They were so clean, this was important after working all day.

Dear Leslie and Steve,
It is not easy to find words to thank you for all your hard work in helping to make our dream come true. Rob and I would like to try.
As young parents, we set our priorities in order to give our son the best education we could offer. This meant living in our “starter home” for 26 years. Once our son was launched as an engineer with a job and a home of his own, we knew it was “our” time. But, what to do? Should we buy a new home or should we add to the home where all our memories were stored? Of course that is where you come into the picture.
I knew from the beginning there was something special about you. That first meeting at our kitchen table you got to know who we were and what we were looking to do. We had ideas. You listened. When you came back with our initial plans, we were stunned. You heard what we said. I wanted a farm style kitchen with tons of storage to accommodate all the cooking equipment a former Home Economics teacher needs. I wanted it to have a Scandinavian flare to represent my heritage. You used my collection of Scandinavian tiles to creatively give me the look I wanted. I needed storage for my cook books and you gave me two floor-to-ceiling bookcases in our cozy breakfast nook. I’ve already spent hours at our table looking out the beautiful windows watching my birds, drinking coffee and figuring out my week’s menus.
My dream for a formal dining room became a reality when your beautiful design turned our former living room into a place where we are proud to serve our guests. Who would ever think we could sit comfortable 8 and even 12 guests in our house?
Our small formal living room off the dining room and breakfast nook is perfect. We like to call it our “sitting room”. It is a perfect place for us to grab a history book from the beautiful built-in bookcase which serves as a focal point and escape into a time and place years ago.
I could go on and on about the downstairs library with its breathtaking built-ins and unfinished laundry and storage area. Besides having made our dreams come true, you have restored our faith in the building community. One so often hears the horror stories of renovations and additions. Ours is more like a fairy tale with a happy ending. We couldn’t be happier with your level of professionalism and craftsmanship. We value your planning and communications skills. Most importantly, we admire your ethics. We knew you word meant something more to you than a mere way to make a buck. It is obvious that your business is more than a job to both of you, it is a vocation.
We look forward to improving our home more as our budget allows. We need the rest of our windows replaced and work done in our bathrooms and bedroom. And you thought you were done with us! It won’t be long and the Reitemeiers will be on your work calendar again.

Going through a bad storm is not a fun experience. Getting all the “guys” stopping by to fix our roof knocking at the door was tiring. When Betty said to call SCC and you came out, you told us things that were damaged that no one else mentioned I knew you were the one to get the job. However, I was a bit concerned when you took 4 days longer to complete the job than my neighbors “roofers” did. Last week when the fourth storm went through this month, we watched as the neighbors shingles were lifting off their roof. All said and done when we went outside ours was still as perfect as it was when you finished.

You kept my 1950 bungalow style home true to its era. My grandmother would be so happy. I was elated to get rid of the “Ruby Red” countertops, and the aqua paint in the lower level.
I love the simple kitchen with all the goodies! I love the wider opening to the living room, and the pocket door just makes sense. Thank you for the concern on leaving this beautiful old house true to its time. You were right it does have good bones, and now I can stay here forever!
